Like some of her fellow Republican presidential candidates, Carly Fiorina hits out at the idea of “birth tourism, anchor babies.” Fiorina recently asserted to a crowd in Iowa that “there’s an industry that has been set up in L.A. where Chinese women come over on a tourist visa and have a baby. This abuse has been going on for a while. We need to stop it.”
However, unlike Jeb Bush, Fiorina didn’t go as far to say that it’s all “Asians” but more on “Chinese women.” This isn’t the first time that Fiorina has been critical on the stance of immigration — she supported the SB-170 Arizona Immigration Law.
Fiorina has also commented on the Chinese before, claiming they were “. . . not terribly imaginative. They’re not entrepreneurial. They don’t innovate. That’s why they’re stealing our intellectual property.”
